coverage of chocolate-covered february

Chocolatiers and chocolate lovers alike converged in Hershey, Pa in February for a month-long series of events. For those who couldn't make it - don't worry. The magic of the Internet means you can still feel like you are part of the action. We have video clips and recipes from the chocolate masters present that will make you feel like you're in the front row.

The Chocolate Artist in Action

Watch master chocolatier Joseph Schmidt, founder of JOSEPH SCHMIDT CONFECTIONS, make exquisite chocolate creations like rose petal bowls, Easter baskets, chocolate flowers and more. These two videos offer a peek inside his magic. (Hint: it's all about the balloons.)

Four Star Recipes

Chef Ken Gladysz's culinary career has taken him around the globe - and back. Before becoming executive chef at THE HOTEL HERSHEY, his work with the award-winning Four Seasons Hotel and Resort Company took him to Japan, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and the American West. He loves working with chocolate, particularly incorporating its dynamic flavor into savory dishes. Here are some of his recipes from the CCF kick-off dinner.

Recipes that Draw Raves

The rave reviews started shortly after rising star Chef Alison Barshak opened her own restaurant, Alison at Blue Bell, in Blue Bell, Pa. five years ago. Soon she appeared in dozens of national publications such as Wine Spectator, Food and Wine, Bon Appetit and Gourmet. In February, those rave reviews continued as her unique take on chocolate dazzled lucky diners. Here are some of her recipes:
