Very Chocolaty Hot Chocolate

Top the hot chocolate with chocolate whipped cream or marshmallows.
Serves 4 to 6
Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk
- 2 (3.53 ounces) packages CACAO RESERVE BY HERSHEY’S 65% Extra Dark Chocolate, coarsely chopped *
- 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions
Bring the milk just to a boil over medium heat in a medium saucepan.
Remove the saucepan from the heat, whisk in the chocolate, sugar, and vanilla and whisk until smooth. Ladle into tea cups or coffee mugs and serve hot.
Note: If you can't find the specific chocolate called for, you can substitute another chocolate with about the same intensity-the higher the percent of cacao solids (labeled as % cacao) in a bar, the more intense the chocolate flavor. Bars labeled simply as bittersweet, semisweet or dark can be used in any recipe calling for any recipe calling for chocolate of less than 70% cacao.
